# Instagram

To integrate Responso with Instagram, follow these steps to link your Instagram account to the system.

1. **Navigate to Integration Settings**:\
Go to **Settings > Integrations > Instagram** or click here.
2. **Add Your Instagram Account**:\
Ensure that your Instagram account is set as **Professional** and **Business**—this is necessary for proper integration with Responso.

## **Set Up a Professional Business Account on Instagram**

1. Open your **Instagram Settings**.
2. Confirm that your account is **Professional**. If it’s not, switch to it by selecting **Switch to Professional Account**:
3. On the next screen, select **Business Account**:
4. Complete the setup by clicking **NEXT** and selecting the categories that best describe your business.

## **Link Your Instagram Account with Your Facebook Page**

Your Instagram account must be linked to a **Facebook Page** for the integration to work. If you don’t have a Facebook Page yet, follow the instructions to create one here.

1. **Log in to Facebook** and navigate to the **Page** you want to link with your Instagram account.
2. Go to **Settings** on the Facebook page
3. Select **Instagram** from the menu
4. Click **Connect Account** to link your Instagram
5. Finally, allow access to **Instagram messages** in the inbox
6. Facebook will prompt you to log into your Instagram account. Once logged in, the integration will be complete.

## **Message Retrieval and Timing**

* **Message Retrieval**: Only new messages will be retrieved after the Instagram integration is successfully added to Responso.
* **Timing**: If there are no delays on Instagram’s side, messages will appear instantly in Responso.
* **Past Messages**: Messages from before the integration will not be visible in the inbox.

### **Viewing Instagram Data in Responso**

Messages from Instagram will appear in the **main inbox**, where they will be marked with the **Instagram logo** for easy identification.
